I've never been much of a Stop & Shop person. Big Y is my grocery store, for the most part. Whit that said, I do, occasionally, enjoy shopping here. They have some items that Big Y just doesn't have. As of writing this (02/14/23) they are completely re-doing/renovating the entire store. So it's a bit of a mess! But they are working there hardest and doing there best to get it done quickly, safely and nicely. Hopefully they aren't working there employees too hard though. I can see that happening.
Stop and Shop is a decent grocery store option. While they have a wide range of products prices and stock can vary.
In terms of customer service, it's hit or miss. Some staff members are friendly and helpful, while others seem disinterested.
The convenience of their online ordering and delivery is a plus, but it's not always the most reliable service.

This was a pleasure to see for the first time. They had plenty of options when it came to deciding what food I wanted. I was specifically looking for local coffee beans but they weren't selling any from the immediate surrounding area. The staff here were very hard working and friendly. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible. I am looking forward to going back again soon!
I really like the Stop & Shop in Greenfield. I feel like there prices are decent and they have a huge verity of items. I really like the large selection of store brand soda. The produce section is fresh and the meets department always has what I'm looking for. The bakery is pretty decent. This store also had a section just for organic products. The things I don't like about this place is the lack of a proper bicycle lock up or the ever growing self checkout section. Otherwise I will usually shop here. There are a lot of great things about Stop & Shop.
The prices are higher than everywhere else in town. Half of their produce is always sold out and what’s there isn’t impressive.
The thing that’s actually spurring me to leave this review is their self checkout system which is the worst one I’ve ever used. Usually I prefer the convenience of self checkout but this one makes me want to break something. And, they never have more than one lane open so you have to use it or wait forever. All of the anti-theft features are turned way up so you literally have to wait for the poor employee to come over basically every other item.
I only ever came here because they’re open later than Big Y, but the experience I had there today was so bad that next time, I’ll live without my groceries until the morning.
I love stop and shop because of the deals and coupons. Lots of stores no longer do this and I am glad stop and shop is keeping it in existence
